Branding in the Age of Findability

Wednesday, April 5, 2006

For a business to succeed, it must excel in three separate skill areas: category, management, and branding. Technically proficient people are usually highly aware of their proprietary knowledge, somewhat aware of the level of their management knowledge, and often blissfully unaware of branding. But every business has competitors, and it's a dangerous delusion to wait for the world to beat a path to your door. Bob Killian's "Branding in the Age of Findability" is a practical problem/solution overview of how to approach your competitive environment.

One of the region‚s most talented advertising professionals, Bob Killian is known for his branding expertise and creative, energetic approaches to advertising and product identification. Bob began his company, Killian Advertising, in 1987, and has had success in many categories: helping large companies, boutique businesses, educational institutions, and professional service practices build their brands and catch the public's eye.

In addition to managing the bustling staff at Killian Advertising, Bob has been a featured speaker with organizations such as the American Marketing Association, Chicago Chamber of Commerce, IABC, and university MBA programs. He is especially adept at helping businesses increase their visibility, differentiation, and perceived relevance -- the elements of branding in the age of findability.

Bob is the co-author of Do-It-Yourself Advertising and Promotion (3rd. Edition) from Wylie Press.
