Instructional Design a short course
When
January 9, 2002, 6:00-8:30 PM
Abstract
Instructional Design (ID) is certainly not new to the training
and development industry. However, with the rapid growth of the e-learning
industry, it has taken on a variety of new meanings. Join us for a penetrating
look at this exciting field of practice in e-learning, and leave with
a number of practical tips for improving the effectiveness of your e-learning
initiatives.
Our speakers will be Richard Rykhus and Katie Shean, co-founders
of Thinkeractive, the expert designer of custom learning technology strategies
and interactive learning environments. Their presentation will differ
from the usual "speaking" format as they lead an interactive
course on Instructional Design. Questions they will consider include:
How does the role of instructional design fit into an organization's learning
initiative and its overall strategy? What are some key elements of learning
that every instructional designer should know? Why is instructional design
important? Has it changed because of e-learning? How should it change?
What are some basic truths that transcend time and technology?
